The oldest students had a chance to show how smart they are. I've prepared the quest game for them. Students changed the stations and made interesting tasks. It was a great opportunity not only to use brains, but also to remember their green years and run a little =)

The 1st day of the ENGLISH WEEK (Post Office)
It was the first day of the English Week in my school. I've prerared a special "magic post office" for my dear students. The elder children have written unusual letters (from the characters of cartoons and films) and "send" them to little friends. Kids were very surprised and happy at the same time!!! I advise everyone to try this activity!!!

"FACEBOOK" activity
Nowadays social nets are very popular, so I try to make my pupils interested in studying English using activities connected with social nets. I've made a special board. It looks like Facebook profile and contains information about famous people. Children working in small groups take a board and try to present the person they see. This activity became popular among pupils and can be used in various ways. You can also give children the empty board that contains photo and name and ask you students to fill in the information. This kind of activity is more creative.
Good luck to you and your pupils!!!

AUDING "Sports in Ukraine"
Sport is
very popular in Ukraine. The main sports are football, volleyball and
basketball. They are played at schools and universities.
Playing
tennis, swimming are popular in our country too.
Every
school has its own gymnasium and sports grounds. Some of them have stadiums and
swimming pools.
There are
different kinds of sports in our schools. We go in for football after lessons.
SPORTS RIDDLES
It's the most popular game in England and in our
country. Both men and women can play it now. The players have a ball. The game
lasts 90 minutes. It has 2 halves. The players kick the ball and run after it.
There is a referee on the pitch.
(Soccer
or football)

"IF-SENTENCES" TASKS
When we study If-sentences, I like to take famous quotations, make some grammar mistakes and give them to my students. Firstly, children work with "a piece of wizdom". Secondly they try themselves in being a teacher. These are just a few of my "wrong" quotations:

PARTS OF THE BODY
To teach children parts of the body I use this girl. I have one of the big size with the words that I put on the blackboard. Students write down the words in to their vocabularies and in several lessons I give each child a small picture of the girl without the words. Their task is to fill in the names of the body they remember.
TOPIC "AT THE RESTAURANT"
While studying the topic "At the Restaurant" I ask my children to make an order using the Menu (tell kids about the exact summ of money they have). The task is to use the lexical material and play out the situation in the restaurant. You can also give my Menu and ask one of the children to imagine himself to be a criticist and find the mistakes and be correct and polite while speaking with the "manager".
I also give them the map to find the way to the restaurant. Sometimes students play out the situation "Find the way asking a stranger". That kind of work is useful not only when students work with the topic. Such tasks help to teach children to be polite and to be correct while speaking with strangers.
At the end of the lesson I sometimes give my students "The Letter of Thanks". It is very pleasant and always inspires them! I print it on the colourful page to make it more special.
HOME HALLOWEEN PARTY
Searching some pictures in my phone, I've suddenly found the photo from Halloween and decided to post it. I sometimes help my friend's daughter to study English and we often play games and organize interesting activities. Halloween is not one of the traditional Ukrainian holidays, so we don't usually celebrate it. This time I decided to make educational process more exciting and it really worked! Lisa was very happy and remembered as much as she never did! I advise every teacher, every tutor in non English speaking countries to celebrate traditional English holidays. That will surely give good results and make your students smile :)
